Series Reconmendation – Guardians of the Maiden by Beck Michaels
Happy Thursday Everyone !
How is it basically the end of July already? I know I say it like every month, but seriously, time is so fucking weird. On the plus side, that means August 3, 2021, should be here in the blink of an eye. Or so I hope because I need to know what happens next in Beck Michaels Guardians of the Maiden series.
Also, I already yearn for book one of The Chronicles of Urn.
About Guardians of the Maiden
What is the Guardians of the Maiden series, you ask? An epic high fantasy series that will contain at minimum seven books, according to Michaels. And I wish I had every single one of them in my hands right now. But that’s the problem with finding new authors or series. Waiting. It’s absolute agony.
I’m here to share that agony with you!
Beck Michaels Divine Blood Synopsis
Take a look at the synopsis & cover art for Book One, Divine Blood.
The Shadow demon nearly took everything from Dynalya Astron, and it would soon return for more. When she discovers a way to fight back, she must go on a perilous journey and risk it all for those she holds dear.
Along the way, she meets Cassiel, a Celestial Prince with magic blood and wings as black as his heart. He wants nothing to do with Dyna until he learns she could lead him to a place he has been searching for all his life.
But reaching their destination is not as easy as they thought, nor are they the only ones who search for it. With danger at every turn and harrowing secrets between them, the quest will require much more than determination. They must fight for what they desire—or die trying.
I was barely halfway through reading Divine Blood & I was in love. My review will be up in a couple of days, but I couldn’t wait any longer to share my love with you. Michaels is now a favourite author. Divine Blood has so many beautiful & powerful elements. Celestials, Werewolves, Elves, Magic, Waring Empires, Forgotten Realms, Love, Hatred, & Sacrifice – & that’s barely scratching the surface of this series. To top it off, it’s all conveyed in incredible writing. Check out the cover art & synopsis for Book Two, Bonded Fate.
Beck Michaels Bonded Fate
Reeling from Cassiel’s confession, Dyna struggles to understand what the Blood Bond means for them both, all the while trying to stay one step ahead of a newfound enemy. When reuniting with a familiar sorceress, she realizes the only way to defeat Tarn is to find her Guardians—all of them.
Cassiel never meant to tie himself to a human, especially one that inexplicably draws him. But then the bond develops a startling change, and it puts into question everything he thought he knew.
Zev straddles the line between human and wolf, unsure if his dark thoughts truly belong to the Madness. It’s growing stronger, determined to take over—and he may just let it.
The journey to get the answers they each need will test them all. But what Dyna doesn’t know is that it comes with a price, and it may cost more than she bargained for.
I can not wait to read Bonded Fate next month. I got a big ol’ circle around August 3, 2021. I honestly wish my local bookstore carried these books. I’d be there at 10 am with bells on to get a copy. Instead, the first thing I will be doing is hitting up the Kindle store. I have so many conflicting feelings about Kindle – even more lately. But I digress.
Beck Michaels Kings Oath Chronicels of Urn
Listed on Michaels GoodReads page is a third book, which I am already excited for, but the release is listed as December 1, 2022; I don’t know exactly how accurate this information is, but I’ll be impatiently waiting for King’s Oath. Listed as Guardians of the Maiden #0.5 & The Chronicles of Urn #1. There is no cover art, but there is a synopsis available.
“You must bear the crown and with it the burden I have carried…”
Those were the last words Yoel’s father spoke to him before he became High King of Hilos and of the Four Celestial Realms.
Being king bears many responsibilities, many Yeol despises and one he regrets. When he succeeded the throne, it came with a promise and he must keep it to keep his crown. But when an injured human washes upon his shores after a storm, Yoel must make a choice that could change the very foundation of his kingdom—forever.
King’s Oath is the first book in a romantic fantasy companion series, The Chronicles of Urn.. It takes place 20 years before the events of Divine Blood.
& there you have it friends, my newest obsession. Hopefully soon to be yours as well.
Until next time, Happy Reading !
