They said never fall for the bad boy.
The best way to get over an awful ex? Hook up with the hot guy you almost spilled your drink on…
Stevie Andwell would rather poke her eye out with her Louboutin heel than get back together with her cheating ex-boyfriend. She would much rather celebrate her single status with the mysterious(ly hot) masked streamer, Blade.
It’s just one night of anonymous fun. No harm, no foul. Right?
Wrong.
Because when Stevie crashes her car, she meets the charming Aleksander Knight. The tattooed bad boy sweeps her off her feet, but she has no idea that he is the man behind the mask…
The closer he gets to Stevie, the harder it becomes to keep his identity a secret.
With dangers lurking in the shadows, if he’s not careful, it’ll be Game Over.

Review
Good Game by Madison Fox
Little Dove
“Girl, the mask kink is real as fuck and those boys know it”
Good Game by Madison Fox has been on my TBR for a while. It is a bad boy gamer romance. Oddly enough, I read it as my boyfriend gamed his little heart out. Each book is about a different gamer in the group The System.
Spoilers sweetie, jump down to my Final Thoughts to avoid them.
- A stream bunny. I’m fucking dying.
- Little dove.
- Yanno, there’s just something about a heterosexual man with manicured black nails. Yum.
- I think bird is my least favorite term for women.
- Eventful awards show.
- I can’t keep a plant alive to save my soul.
- Does Stevie not recognize Aleks voice?
- Zipping up her dress & putting her heels on? Swoon.
- Need something from Aleks? Just bribe him with some food.
- High fives all around.
- She knows. Even if she doesn’t know. *she didn’t fucking know.
- I’m not sure I like the banter between these two.
- Sydney is definitely talking about Aleks.
- Well this should be interesting. Of course The System is at the same club.
- Girl.. how many people are out here calling you little dove that you haven’t figured out who the fuck Blade is yet.
- Girl seriously. The scar.
- The cat better be out of the bag now.
- Finally.
- I’m glad they revealed their identities.
Good Game by Madison Fox Review
Minor Spoilers
With his soft, fluffy hair, he gives off boy-next-door meets delinquent-skater-boy vibes.
I went into Good Game with high hopes. The concept and elements the story was comprised of were intriguing to me. The MMC, Aleks, is your typical bad boy gamer type. Gaining notoriety in the streaming community as being one of the best. He is a professional streamer, who has never revealed his face to the public. His crew, The System, have gone to great lengths to keep their identities a secret from the world.
When Aleks, as Blade, meets our FMC, the artist Stephanie, the attraction is instant. After a quick, yet very hot and public, hook up, they go their separate ways.
When Stephanie meets Aleks sparks fly again and the two begin casually dating. If you could call it that. It’s more of an Insta Love situation. Chaos ensues as Aleks tries to keep his alter ego persona from Stevie and it annoyed the fuck out of me. Numerous times our dear Stephanie was close to uncovering the truth but the girl was blinded by love and the ruse continued. Even after a second run in with Blade.
I wish this had been executed better. However, with that said, I think this is Fox’s debut novel, so we shall see how the writing improves. In the end, identities are revealed and for that reason alone, I wont be writing this series off completely. I don’t think I could do another secret identity trope in this specific world.

They are just three men, and yet it feels like the entire event orbits around them.
This close, I can see the faint traces of his eyes behind the red X’s. I know without a doubt that if I could see them clearly, I would be drowning in them.

I want everyone to be jealous of her on my arm, but I also want to pluck out their eyes for even daring to look at her.
That man can make a girl come with his fingers like Mozart can play the piano. Flawlessly.
“You look devastating.” His voice comes out low and deep, “Like a goddess dripping in gold, and I’m just an unworthily mortal blinded by your beauty.”
It feels like a flower is blossoming in my chest, drinking in his words to feed itself.
I’d sooner rip my own heart out than shatter yours, Stephanie Andwell.
